We met Stanley in 2015. He was an earnest young boy who loved going to school and dreamt of becoming a Doctor. Stanley had a condition called Infantile Blounts Disease. This meant he had severely bowed legs which were becoming increasingly painful and causing difficulties with walking. In Ghana, this physical disability could have really prevented Stanley from the many life opportunities he deserves.

Family First Ghana supported Stanley and his family through medical assessments and diagnosis, then raised funds for him to undergo life changing corrective surgery. The surgery was a great success and following intensive physiotherapy, Stanley regained full movement in his legs, no longer experienced pain and he could return to education.

Stanley worked hard through his education and in 2023 Stanley was accepted to University to study Medical Laboratory Science. We are so pleased for Stanley that his dreams of studying in the medical field are coming true, and we are proud to be able to fund Stanley’s university fees to make this opportunity possible for him.
