Our Website is Live!!

Hello Everyone

After a long 24 hours of travelling yesterday I have arrived back to Kumasi, my second home. Greeted by my Ghanaian family, I couldn’t be more excited to be spending the next 3 months here.

The beautiful Cassandra, Christine and Baffour

I thought this was the perfect time to start a blog again and announce that our new website is now up and running… please check it out…

I want to say a massive THANK YOU to everyone who has helped me prepare for this trip… those who have hosted fundraisers, made donations or bought sensory and specialist equipment for me to bring over. Thank you so much!

It has been a busy few weeks preparing for my trip and making resources, such as visual communication systems for children who are non-verbal, positive behaviour strategies, sensory ideas and booklets with information about special needs.

I am now super excited to get started with our work out here. We will be working with our families continuing to offer specialist support. Furthermore, during my stay I will be working closely alongside medical professionals and special schools, offering training and exploring ways that we can enhance the services offered in Kumasi for families and children with special needs.

Keep your eyes peeled for updates on this blog, our website and facebook page:

Any questions please do not hesitate to email: familyfirstghana@hotmail.com

Thanks for reading and bye for now!
